About Mindie
A passionate, self-taught independent artist and creative director, Mindie Gum-Grivell blends artistry, strategy, and community to create expressive artwork, thoughtful design, and engaging experiences for art lovers, small businesses, and organizations.
Originally from Vancouver, Washington, Mindie began her full-time art practice in Indianapolis, Indiana (2014), and has since grown it into Aries Art NW, a small business she operates both in person and remotely from Skamania County, Washington (since 2019).
Working in both traditional and digital mediums, she is best known for her colorful, wildly imaginative artwork and design, featuring detailed concept portraiture and bright, uplifting visual storytelling.
Her work has been exhibited in galleries across the United States and has earned multiple creative and entrepreneurship awards*.
Merging her background in event production and community building, Mindie creates memorable experiences through guided art workshops, exhibitions, tours, and original programming—both independently and as a Creative Director on production teams for festivals, retreats, and more.
Beyond her studio practice, Mindie collaborates with brands, organizations, and creative teams on design, branding, marketing, and event production. Her approach blends artistry with practical strategy to create thoughtful, intentional work that helps ideas—and the people behind them—stand out. Available for freelance and independent projects nationwide, remotely or in person throughout Skamania County and surrounding areas.
